![]() ***Effective June 1, 2023, all watercraft utilizing the 16-mile stretch of the Colorado River between Glen Canyon Dam and Lees Ferry will need to have their group leader obtain a Backcountry River Permit. Your Lees Ferry Anglers representative can give you recommendations based on your goals and timeframe. If you only have a half-day or less to work with, starting off from Horseshoe Bend or Petroglyph Beach would still give you ample opportunity to enjoy this unique experience. For an all-day paddle adventure, go the 15 miles upriver to the base of 700’ tall Glen Canyon Dam. Then, board a specially equipped backhaul boat piloted by a US Coast Guard Certified Captain, traveling upriver to the drop-off location of your choice. Rent a single or tandem kayak, or a stand-up paddleboard (SUP), or you can bring your own. ![]() Lees Ferry, approximately 1-hour drive from Page, AZ, is where your adventure begins.
